About the role

Cappo Seafood is gearing up for our busiest time of the year and we are seeking multiple energetic, customer-focused Retail Assistants to join our fast-paced team at our Adelaide Central Market store! Whether you're a junior looking for holiday work or an adult seeking extra hours, this casual role offers up to 40 hours per week. You will be the face of Cappo Seafood, providing exceptional service, maintaining eye-catching product displays, and keeping our bustling seafood counter running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

- Welcoming and assisting customers with their festive seafood selections and inquiries

- Preparing and presenting fresh seafood products beautifully and informatively

- Keeping the seafood counter restocked, clean, and highly organized during peak times

- Processing cash and card transactions quickly and accurately

- Supporting the overall operations of the store to ensure a fantastic customer experience

About you

- A high level of integrity and reliability

- Enthusiasm and a true passion for delivering high-quality customer service

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, approachable demeanor





- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to stay organized under pressure

- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays (extended availability required during Christmas week)

- Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or hospitality role (especially food) is great, but not essential—a excellent attitude is key

- Ability to speak a second language is helpful
