About the role

We're looking for a hands-on, willing-to-learn Technician to join our optical lab in Salisbury. If you enjoy practical work, fixing things, and being part of a chilled, supportive team, you'll fit right in. This role starts as a casual, part time position, Monday to Friday, 10:00am–3:00pm to begin. Once you're trained, confident, and comfortable with the repair processes, there's the opportunity to move into full-time hours (up to 40 hours) as the workload increases. No weekends, no late nights, no public holidays.

Key responsibilities

- Working with glasses and sunglasses — adjusting, assembling, and helping with repairs

- Assisting senior techs with more detailed or tricky jobs

- Doing quality checks on completed work

- Packing outgoing jobs and keeping the lab tidy

- Helping keep workflow smooth and organised

About you

- Enjoy hands-on work and learning new skills

- Have good attention to detail

- Can stay focused when things get busy

- Are reliable and show up ready to go

- Communicate well and enjoy being part of a team

- Basic optical knowledge or previous experience would be advantageous, however if you are willing to learn, we would love to hear from you.
