Through Rio Tinto's partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner – Ballast Cleaning for Rail Network Renewals – Ballast Cleaning.

Offered on a FIFO (Residential Karratha/Dampier Considered) basis, this opportunity offers the chance to work within a leading global organisation, contributing to key operational and business outcomes. Working a 5/2, 4/3 roster, you'll join a supportive team focused on safety, collaboration and delivering operational excellence.

Reporting to the Ballast Cleaning Superintendent – Rail Network Renewals, you'll use your skills and experience to support business priorities, collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to the success of the operation. In this role, you will:

- Prepare maintenance plans, schedules and work packages for rolling stock assets, including detailed scopes, materials, scheduling and cost estimates
- Ensure appropriate allocation and availability of materials and equipment resources to achieve planned outcomes
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement planning process changes
- Manage contractors through the CMS process to complete project and planned maintenance tasks
- Prioritise work with Execution Supervisors, Superintendents,



suppliers and stakeholders to support operational outcomes

About You

- Maintenance planning experience within heavy industry, rail, mining or mobile maintenance environments
- Experience working within rail, rolling stock, fixed plant or heavy mobile equipment maintenance
- Mechanical trade qualification (Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter) or extensive maintenance planning experience
- Strong maintenance planning systems knowledge, stakeholder engagement skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Dedication to everyone's safety
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and other testing
