Grafton Partners, is a boutique Chartered Accounting firm in Nedlands, and is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. We are a long-established business providing taxation, accounting and advisory services to our clients.

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Accountant on a part-time basis, working during school hours, to join our team at our Nedlands office. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking flexible work arrangements that align with personal commitments. As a Tax Accountant, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality tax advisory services and compliance solutions to our diverse client base. Working part-time during school hours, this role offers the flexibility to balance professional responsibilities with other priorities whilst contributing meaningfully to our team's success.

The ideal arrangement would be 20 hours per week spread over 4 days per week. There is also the option for hybrid work arrangements, with a minimum of 1 day per week required in-office.

What you'll be doing

- Preparation of tax returns for individual, company, trust, SMSF and partnerships

- Preparation of financial statements and working papers

- Preparation of BAS, IAS and GST obligations

- Assisting with tax planning and business advisory

- Liaising with the ATO

- Managing workflow and meeting client deadlines

What we're looking for

- Recognised Australian accounting qualification, such as a degree in accounting, commerce or equivalent professional qualification





- Active membership with a professional body such as CA ANZ or CPA Australia

- A minimum of three years’ experience in an Australian public practice.

- Proficient in Xero, Class Super and XPM

- Strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail.

- Solid written and verbal skills.

- Permanent Residency in Australia

- Able to work independently and within a team environment.

- Previous experience working part-time or in flexible arrangements would be advantageous
