We are seeking a Junior Hospitality & Environmental Services Assistant to work in a part time (9 hours/fortnight) capacity based at Rainbow.

RENUMERATION:

- Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2025-2027.
- Classification KX1 - $20.50 per hour and $4797 per year as per award.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

- The Junior Assistant helps with the preparation and service of meals. They ensure that supplies and equipment are maintained in a secure and sanitary condition in accordance with the Department of Human Services Standards and Infection Control Guidelines.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIAEssential:

- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work without active supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, support employees, consumers, management and the community.
- Proven ability to prioritise and be multi-skilled.
- Demonstrate basic ability to learn and use computer software packages including Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel and other software packages as necessary

Desirable:

- Knowledge of Health Regulations, Infection Control Health Regulations and Victorian Food Safety Standards.




- Proficiency in cleaning through on-the-job training.
- Proficiency in kitchen duties and food preparation through on-the-job training

Mandatory Employment Requirements:

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Working with Children Check.
- Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives

KEY RESPONSBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Maintaining and complying with cleaning standards and Food Safety Guidelines.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Ensure strict adherence with West Wimmera Health Service Infection Prevention protocols.
- Communicate effectively with other employees within the facility.
- Liaise and provide assistance with work colleagues and disability-supported employees in a professional manner.
