About the role

HVN Group Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking a Junior Labourer (Metal roofing & Fascia & Gutter) to join our dynamic team. This is a casual position based in Worongary, QLD 4213. As a Junior Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction and contracting operations, assisting experienced tradespeople and site supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the trades and services industry whilst developing valuable skills that will benefit your career progression.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting experienced tradespeople and supervisors on various construction and contracting sites

- Preparing work areas, including clearing, cleaning and organising materials and tools

- Moving, handling and storing materials, equipment and supplies safely and appropriately

- Performing general roofing labouring when required, work is based around installation of new fascia and guttering products to homes.

- Assisting with scaffolding (lightweight)

- Operating hand tools and power tools under supervision

- Maintaining site cleanliness and adhering to housekeeping standards

- Working at heights

- Following all health and safety protocols and procedures at all times

- Communicating effectively with team members and reporting any issues or concerns to supervisors

What we're looking for

- Minimum age of 18 years and a valid Australian driver's license

- Strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to punctuality

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks and lift heavy items regularly

- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced supervisors





- Basic understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites

- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented team approach

- A positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in the trades industry

- Relevant construction induction card (White Card) or willingness to obtain one

- Previous experience in labouring, construction or trades work is advantageous but not essential for enthusiastic candidates
