About the role

This is a rare chance to become Group CFO of a founder-led business at a defining point in its growth. You’ll lead finance through a step up in M&A;, deeper expansion in North America, and the scale that comes with both.

This is a career appointment, not a fixed tenure. Mader Group wants a CFO who sees their future here and will help shape the business for many years to come.

Key responsibilities

- Build out Mader Group’s M&A; capability: originate, assess, structure and execute acquisitions from A$1m to A$500m, then lead integration into one Group.

- Own the design and modelling of a broad-based LTI plan covering 300 to 400 people, and bring it to life so employees understand it, believe in it and are motivated by it.

- Lead bonus structuring and work with the Board on executive remuneration.

- Lead the Legal and Commercial function, including major customer and supplier contracts and procurement across every region.





- Lead investor communication alongside the CEO, and advise the Board and Executive Chairman on capital allocation and investment.

- Oversee finance across the United States, Canada and emerging markets, and support Mader Group’s North American growth.

- Maintain strong cash collection, working capital and reporting discipline.

- Lead system selection and the future ERP rollout, and oversee Power BI reporting.

- Lead, develop and retain a team of 60 to 70 people across finance, legal, commercial and IT, with empathy and directness.

About you

- A sitting or recent CFO of a business with A$500m+ in revenue, with solid ASX experience. Exposure to US capital markets and investors is highly regarded.

- A genuine M&A; track record: deals completed end to end, and integrations personally led.

- Hands-on experience designing LTI and bonus structures, and communicating them in a way that motivates people.

- Strong contract and procurement experience at scale.

- International finance leadership, ideally with direct North American exposure.

- A background in mining services, contracting or industrial services.

- ERP and business intelligence experience.

- CA or CPA qualified.
