The Role

We are seeking a qualified electrician who takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail and can work confidently both independently and as part of a team.

The role will involve a variety of residential and commercial electrical work, including installations, maintenance, fault finding, renovations and new projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs

- Complete residential and commercial electrical work to a high standard

- Fault find and diagnose electrical issues

- Install lighting, power, switchboards and electrical equipment

- Complete renovations, fit-outs and new installations

- Read and interpret electrical plans and drawings

- Ensure all work complies with current Australian Standards and NSW electrical regulations

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite

- Communicate professionally with customers, builders and other trades

- Complete job documentation, photos and electrical certificates as required

- Identify additional work and provide accurate information for quoting

- Represent Smith Power Group professionally at all times

- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment

What We’re Looking For

The successful applicant will have:

- Current NSW Electrical Licence

- Relevant electrical experience





- Strong knowledge of electrical installations and fault finding

- Good understanding of Australian Standards and electrical regulations

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good communication and customer-service skills

- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

- Reliable and punctual attitude

- Qualified presentation

- Current driver’s licence

- Ability to problem-solve and work efficiently

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

- Residential renovations

- New residential installations

- Commercial electrical work

- Switchboard upgrades

- Lighting installations

- Fault finding

- Smoke alarms

- Data and communications

- Solar and battery systems

- Air conditioning

- EV chargers
