Laboratory Technician

Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Inspired by the work of St Marcellin Champagnat, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent academic and career pathway results for our inclusive community of students.

The College has a vacancy for a part-time Laboratory Technician. This is a Level 3 school officer position (starting rate of $34.17 per hour). This position is 2 days per week during school terms, commencing with us in January, 2027.

The Laboratory Technician works under the general supervision of the Lab Manager and Curriculum Leader – Science and Engineering to provide support to Science and Engineering Faculty.

Essential Selection Criteria:

The ideal applicant would demonstrate:

- Commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College;
- Excellent attention to detail and initiative;
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Demonstrated experience in a laboratory environment

Typical duties will include:

- Ensuring the effective operation of the laboratory
- Maintenance of resources and equipment
- Assisting with safety and compliance

Applicants must hold a Blue Card issued by the Queensland Government.
