Canteen Assistant

Bizzee Breeze Canteens is looking for a reliable, practical Canteen Assistant to join our team. Our canteens are located across Baldivis, and you must be willing to work at any of our sites as rostered.

There are up to three days of work available per week. Shifts vary by day and site, but are often around 8:00 am–2:00 pm. Work is during school terms only, with no weekends or school-holiday shifts.

This is a hands-on, rapid-paced and sometimes demanding role. Alongside serving customers, you’ll help with food preparation, cleaning, restocking and keeping the canteen running smoothly to school-day deadlines. Good time management is essential, as is the ability to work quickly, stay calm under pressure and use your initiative.

What you’ll do

- Prepare and serve food and drinks
- Keep kitchen and service areas clean and tidy
- Follow food safety and hygiene practices
- Restock and organise supplies




- Manage tasks and time during busy service periods
- Work independently when needed and contribute to a small team

What we’re looking for

- Kitchen or food-service experience
- A good pace and the ability to keep up during busy periods
- Practical common sense and initiative
- Strong time-management, cleanliness and organisational skills
- Reliability and a positive, hands-on approach
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work at any of our Baldivis sites as rostered

This role is paid under the Restaurant, Café and Catering (WA) Award. A current Working With Children Check and Department of Education screening are required for work in school canteens.

Pay: $33.45 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 17.0 per week
