Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Telecommunications Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing, monitoring, and providing technical support for telecommunications networks while working on the installation and maintenance of advanced communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, repair, and diagnose malfunctions in optical fibre and copper cable, microwave, telemetry, multiplexing, satellite, and other radio and electromagnetic wave communication systems.

· Assist in the construction and maintenance of telecommunications networks and install and maintain telecommunication and other data systems at customers' premises including Installation of fixed and wireless network equipment and set up current telecommunications services.

- Configure and integrate network and telecommunications technology with computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Develop and maintain detailed logs and documentation, including communication policies, procedures,



and quality standards.
- Provide technical advice, monitor performance, and troubleshoot complex telecommunications networks and equipment.
- Plan and oversee the development of customer access telecommunications network infrastructure.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to monitor contractual obligations and ensure performance delivery.
- Provide operational support, including designing, optimizing, and resolving performance issues and defects in telecommunications networks.

Requirements:

- Qualification: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or equivalent.
- Experience: At least three years of relevant experience in the telecommunications industry and/or relevant vendor certifications.
- Strong knowledge of network and telecommunications technologies, computer systems, and operating systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues and defects.

· Ability to understand and interpret complex design and job scopes and other carrier design packs

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

· Must be willing to travel to remote locations for up to two weeks at a time
