Casual Night Cleaners – Join The Clean Co Newcastle

We’re looking for reliable, hardworking cleaners to join our team, providing a high-quality cleaning service to commercial premises and childcare centres.

Employment: Casual, direct employment with The Clean Co Newcastle—not subcontracting.

Pay: Award wages

Hours and availability

You must be available Monday to Friday for approximately 3–6 hours per night. Thursday and Friday availability is essential, as these nights must be covered.

Hours vary depending on the cleans scheduled, business needs and your skills and strengths. As this is a casual position, fixed weekly hours or shifts every night are not guaranteed.

Location and travel

Our sites are across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Maitland/Hunter. You must have a current driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and be willing to travel throughout our service area.

This is not a single-site position. Locations may change depending on the roster.

About the role

- Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and common areas. (going above and beyond on the little extras also)
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and emptying bins.
- Following cleaning checklists and site-specific directions.
- Completing job notes and required before-and-after photos.
- Caring for equipment and respecting clients’ properties.
- Working independently and alongside other team members.

What you’ll need

- Availability across Monday to Friday, including Thursdays and Fridays.
- A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- Willingness and ability to travel across our service area.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and clear communication.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive team attitude.
- Ability to carry out the physical duties of cleaning.
- A Working With Children Check and Police Check, or willingness to obtain them.
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred.
