The focus of The Filipino Workforce is to understand each participant’s goals and build a long-lasting relationship with them.
Responsibilities
· Provide assistance with personal care including showering, grooming, dressing, toileting and mobility
· Support participants to develop independence and life skills with their NDIS goals and daily routines
· Assist with light domestic duties such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and shopping to maintain a safe living environment
· Facilitate community access by accompanying or transporting participants to social, recreational or educational activities
· Monitor participant’s wellbeing and report any changes or concerns to supervisors or relevant health professionals
· Maintain accurate records of care, progress and incidents in accordance with organisational and NDIS requirements
· Assist with rehabilitation activities, therapeutic exercises and basic treatments under the guidance of allied health professionals
· Provide support to therapists during sessions and assist with medication administration where trained and authorised
· Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, workplace health and safety, and mandatory reporting obligations
Required Skills
· Certificate III in Aged Care or higher
· Relevant work experience
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are advantageous
