We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Underground Mining Engineers interested in opportunities within Central Queensland.

The Role

In this role, you will support the planning, development, and ongoing operation of an underground mining site, working closely with operational teams to ensure mining activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with production requirements.

You’ll be involved in technical mine planning, operational support, and continuous improvement initiatives, providing engineering expertise to help optimise mining performance.

This opportunity would suit a degree-qualified Mining Engineer with previous underground experience who is looking to develop their career within an established mining operation.





The business is also willing to support suitable candidates in obtaining their Ventilation Officer qualification, providing an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical capabilities.

Duties:

- Support underground mine planning and day-to-day mining operations
- Develop and review mine plans, schedules, and technical documentation
- Work closely with operational teams to support safe and efficient production
- Monitor mining performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide technical engineering advice to site management and operational teams
- Support compliance with relevant mining legislation, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Assist with risk assessments, technical investigations, and operational problem-solving
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across underground operations

Requirements:

- Previous experience working within underground mining operations
- Strong understanding of underground mining methods, processes, and safety requirements
- Experience in mine planning, technical services, or operational engineering
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with site-based operational teams
- Willingness to work a site-based roster in Central Queensland
