Job description:

Billiard Shop is a long-established Sunshine Coast business that supplies and installs premium pool and billiard tables for homes, clubs and venues. We are looking for a practical, reliable person to join our installation team. No industry experience is needed, because we will train you in a specialised trade that very few people have.

About the role

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays when needed. You will start on a casual basis with full-time hours. After a successful probation period of [3] months, you will move into a permanent position. Pay is $30 to $35 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience.

“Pay rates are in line with the General Retail Industry Award 2020. Junior rates apply for applicants under 21.”

What you will do

- Deliver and install pool and billiard tables in customers’ homes, clubs and venues
- Re-cloth and refurbish existing tables
- Use hand and power tools to complete precise, high-quality work
- Represent our business professionally with every customer
- Assist in our Warana showroom when required

What we offer

- Full on-the-job training from experienced installers
- Steady, full-time hours with a pathway to permanent employment
- A work vehicle for jobs (delete if not true)
- Heavy lifts are done as a team using proper equipment
- Varied work across the Sunshine Coast, with no two jobs the same
- A supportive team in a respected local business

What we are looking for

- You are valuable with your hands and take pride in your work
- Experience in carpentry, removals, furniture, flooring, cabinetmaking or a similar trade is an advantage, but not essential
- You are physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- You hold a current driver’s licence
- You are well presented and friendly with customers
- You are looking for a long-term role

To apply, please submit your resume. A short cover letter telling us about any hands-on work you have done is welcome but not required. We aim to respond to all applicants within 2 business days.
