WHERE YOU COME IN

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who enjoys getting into the technical detail — and helping others make sense of it too.

Working closely with a Client Advisor and Associate Client Advisor in a small client delivery team, you’ll be a trusted technical resource and a reliable contact for clients. Someone who knows their stuff, shares it generously and keeps things moving.

You’ll:

Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS and supporting workpapers across a range of clients and entity structures.

Manage your allocated client work, keeping clients and colleagues informed and delivery on track.

Review Junior and Intermediate Accountants’ work, providing practical feedback and coaching.

Work through technical issues, recognising when to seek further input.

Support client meetings and identify matters that could benefit from broader advice.

Share ideas that improve our processes, technical consistency and use of technology. If there’s a better way, we want to hear it.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Your qualifications, experience and knowledge





A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.

CA or CPA qualification, or working towards completion.

Experience in public practice accounting or business advisory, preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS across a range of entity structures.

Strong Australian taxation knowledge, including CGT events, concessions and rollovers; Division 7A; trust distributions and streaming; group structuring; tax planning; dividend imputation; and hire purchase and lease arrangements.

Working knowledge of superannuation compliance, state-based taxes and corporate secretarial requirements.

Experience using cloud accounting, tax and practice management systems, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

give constructive feedback and help less experienced accountants build confidence and judgement.

Commercial awareness. You look beyond the compliance task to understand the client’s business, spot risks and opportunities, and recognise when broader advice could help.

Teamwork and ownership. You take initiative, welcome feedback and lend a hand. You leave your ego at the door and bring SEIVA’s values to your everyday work.
