A Mildura meat processor needs someone on site and hands on to run the cold store and get product out the door for export.

The work

You’ll lead a team of eight, work with the shipping team on load-out documentation, and coordinate containers and transport. This isn’t an office job. You’ll be in the cold store with your crew, making sure the right product leaves on the right day. It’s a meat processing site, so you’ll be working around slaughter.

What you’ll need

- Experience working with cold storage product
- A track record of running a team and moving product on a deadline
- Comfort with load-out paperwork, containers and transport




- A forklift licence is desirable, but not essential

You’ll run your own crew and own the cold store, with a direct hand in getting export product onto ships. It’s a role for someone who’d rather lead from the floor than from a desk.

- Around $80,000, depending on experience
- Immediate start possible if you’re immunised against Q fever. If you’re not, it takes about two weeks to arrange, and the pre-employment medical is organised for you.
