About the Role:

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Rendering Manager currently exists at our Laverton Plant. The Rendering Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of rendering operations at the Laverton facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant processing of raw materials into finished products. The role leads operational teams, drives continuous improvement, and ensures production targets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently met. The Rendering Manager plays a critical role in optimising plant performance, managing resources, and fostering a strong safety and compliance culture. This is a full time role with annual salary more than $180,000.00 plus superannuation.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Coordination of production to ensure compliance with product safety, environmental, OH&S;, and industrial standards





· Daily coordination and liaison with sales teams for domestic and export sales of meal, tallow, and blood products

· Planning and organisation of all maintenance requirements within the operation

· Operating within allocated budgets and monitoring operational costs

· Communicating and reporting to relevant regulatory authorities

· Identifying and developing recommendations for continuous improvement

· Managing staff-related matters, including rosters, performance, employee relations, and development

· Liaising regularly with the Plant Manager and other internal stakeholders

Criteria:

· Strong understanding of the rendering process or similar processing operations

· Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including safety and environmental requirements

· Maintenance or Engineering background highly regarded

· Strong communication and organisational skills

· Ability to manage and lead teams effectively

· Problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset

· Experience in rendering commodity sales is desirable but not essential
