Payroll Solutions Pty Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of our client to support the delivery of community relationship services for their Islamic faith-driven donor base. Our client delivers humanitarian and community development programs both locally and internationally.

We are seeking a Team Leader – Community Engagement to join our client on a permanent full-time basis. This is a hybrid role with both on-site and remote work.

About The Role

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with mosques, volunteers, schools, businesses, community groups, donors and supporters.

This is a community-facing role focused on strengthening community engagement, supporting fundraising initiatives and increasing the client’s visibility and impact across the state. The role requires regular attendance at mosques, community events, fundraising activities and meetings, with some evening and weekend work required during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain strong relationships with mosques, volunteers, schools, community groups, businesses, donors and other stakeholders.
- Lead and represent the client at community events, presentations, stalls, mosque visits and outreach activities.
- Identify and develop opportunities to increase community participation, fundraising outcomes and community partnerships.
- Coordinate engagement activities with mosques, schools, businesses and community organisations.
- Support the planning and delivery of Ramadan,



Qurban and other fundraising and community campaigns.
- Recruit, coordinate and support volunteers participating in fundraising and engagement activities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to strengthen ongoing engagement.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and stakeholder communications.
- Achieve agreed community engagement and fundraising targets.
- Work collaboratively with the team to support the client’s visibility, reputation and community presence.

Skills and Experience

- Experience in community engagement, fundraising or a similar role.
- Robust relationship-building and networking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience coordinating events, community activities or outreach initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Professional, reliable and confident when engaging with diverse community groups.

Desirable

- Existing relationships with Islamic communities, mosques or local community organisations.
- Experience working with volunteers and community stakeholders.

Requirements

- Current and valid Driver’s Licence.
- Current and satisfactory National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
- Current and valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to travel as required and attend events on evenings or weekends when needed.
