Carlitas Caring Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Female Disability Support Worker with Team Leader experience and an AIN background in Kippa-Ring QLD.

Morning Shifts - Please DO NOT apply if you are unable to work the following days and hours:

- Monday - 6pm to 10am
- Tuesday - 6am to 10am
- Wednesday - 6am to 10am
- Thursday - 6am to 10am
- Friday - 6am to 10am
- Saturday - 6am to 10am
- Sunday - 6am to 10am

MUST have:

- Experience in Disability Support Work and/or Aged Care.
- Team Leader experience
- AIN experience
- Qualifications in the Disability and/or Aged Care Sector.
- Current First Aid
- Current CPR certificate
- Current Medication Management certificate
- A current National Police Check (must be less than 12 months old).
- The NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- A current NDISWC (Yellow Card).
- An Infection Control training certificate (COVID-19).
- Current Driver's License

Position Duties:

- Receive the hand-off from the sleepover staff
- Hand over notes/directions to the day staff
- Manage the medication chart and communicate updates to the staff member responsible for administering medication.
- Record all appointments the client must attend (e.g., GP checkups, blood tests, Neurology appointments, and scans). Record these details and communicate them to the Manager.
- Be the first point of contact for all Female and Male Disability Support Workers
- Supervise, mentor and roster support workers: if staff are absent from their shift, you must find a suitable replacement.



If you cannot find a suitable replacement, you must be available to cover that shift yourself.
- Provide hands-on or ad hoc support (manual handling and meal preparation) and promote active, healthy living. You must encourage the staff, the client, and his wife to eat well and understand the advantages of healthy eating.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, manage shift notes, maintain accurate documentation, and handle incident or complaint escalations.
- Work closely with the client's wife, service managers, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure staff practices meet requirements.
- Mitigate difficult situations and conversations with staff, the client and their family, and communicate these to the Manager.
