THE OPPORTUNITY

PYBAR is seeking experienced Underground Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our established maintenance team at the Eloise and Jericho copper operations in North Queensland.

Here's what we offer:

- Rates: $75–$80/hr plus monthly bonus
- Roster: 15 days on / 13 days off and 14 nights on / 14 days off
- Employment: Permanent full time position directly with PYBAR
- FIFO: Charter flights from Brisbane and Townsville, with connections from major airports
- Camp: Quality accommodation with private ensuites, excellent meals, gym, Wi-Fi and wet mess
- Commute: Camp located just 1 minute from site
- Stability: An established six-year operation with approximately two years remaining on the current contract
- Career Growth: Ongoing training, opportunities to step into senior maintenance and leadership roles, and career progression across PYBAR's national operations.

THE FLEET & WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You'll work alongside a skilled crew of HD Fitters, Auto Electricians, LV Mechanics and Leading Hands, maintaining the underground fleet that supports our development and production teams.

Your day-to-day will include:





- Planned servicing and preventative maintenance
- Underground field breakdowns, fault finding and diagnostics
- Drill rig maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting
- Keeping critical equipment available to support production and development targets

You'll gain hands-on experience across Sandvik development drills, CAT and Sandvik loaders, Volvo integrated toolcarriers, Jacon spray rigs and Elphinstone agitators, including recently introduced equipment.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

- Trade qualifications – Heavy Diesel Fitter (Essential)
- Exposure to Sandvik Underground Drill Rigs (Essential)
- Have proven experience working on underground heavy equipment (Essential)
- Experience with CAT and Volvo equipment (Essential)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
- A strong focus on safety
- Hold a current Australian Drivers License
- Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
