WE’RE HIRING — Disability Support Workers (Casual)

Journey Community Connections is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team

We are looking for people with a genuine passion for assisting others and experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people, including individuals with complex support needs between Coffs Harbour and Nambucca Heads NSW

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current unrestricted driver licence
- Reliable and roadworthy vehicle
- Comprehensive vehicle insurance
- Experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people
- Experience and confidence with Manual Handling
- Ability to safely follow individual Manual Handling procedures and support plans
- A genuine passion for supporting and assisting people
- Ability to remain calm, patient and consistent during challenging situations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliability, professionalism and a strong work ethic with ability to complete onboarding Training.

Experience with autism, ADHD, FASD, neurological disabilities, epilepsy, complex behaviours, personal care and manual handling will be highly regarded.
