Baptiste is the newest addition to The Apollo Restaurant Group, and we're looking for an experienced Sommelier who knows their wine, loves hospitality and can make every guest feel welcome.
With a focus on French cuisine, thoughtful wine pairings and generous hospitality, Baptiste is all about creating an experience people want to come back for. We're after someone who can bring our wine offering to life, share their knowledge without the fuss and have a bit of fun along the way.
The role
- Deliver engaging, knowledgeable wine service and recommendations.
- Guide guests through our wine list, with a strong focus on French wines and regions.
- Work closely with chefs and the restaurant team on food and wine pairings.
- Support wine training and development across the front-of-house team.
- Assist with cellar management, stock control and wine service standards.
- Help create a warm, memorable dining experience for every guest.
About you
- Previous experience as a Sommelier or in a wine-focused premium restaurant role.
- Strong wine knowledge, particularly French wines, regions and varietals.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and connecting with guests.
- Confident communication skills and a natural ability to make wine approachable.
- WSET or CMS qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
- A team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and developing others.
