We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Disability Support Worker to support a 54-year-old male NDIS participant living independently with a traumatic brain injury.

The role involves supporting his independence, daily routines and participation in the community. Experience supporting people with acquired brain injury is highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation and light household duties.
- Support access to appointments, shopping and community activities.
- Encourage meaningful activities based on his interests, including beach outings and music.
- Provide prompts and practical assistance with organisation and daily routines.
- Follow his support plan, maintain accurate progress notes and report concerns.

Requirements

- Relevant disability support experience, preferably with acquired or traumatic brain injury.
- A patient,



respectful and person-centred approach.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Driver’s licence and a reliable, insured vehicle for community access.
- Australian work rights.

A Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability or a related qualification is desirable.

Hours: To be discussed based on the participant’s needs and agreed schedule.

Start: As soon as onboarding is completed.
