SIL HOUSE TEAM LEADER – BRING YOUR PERSONALITY, ENERGY AND LEADERSHIP!

This is not your ordinary Team Leader role!

We're looking for someone with personality, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for making a difference. Someone who can bring energy into a home, build outstanding relationships and create an environment where our participant feels engaged, supported, valued and, most importantly, enjoys his day.

Our man is living with complex support needs who deserves more than just supervising his support. He needs someone who is switched on, proactive, fun-loving and understands the importance of meaningful interaction.

We want someone who leads by example!

Someone who:

- Brings a positive, upbeat attitude and a bit of fun into everyday life.
- Knows how to engage him through activities, conversation, walks, games, cooking, gardening and shared experiences.
- Understands mindful interactions, communication, sensory needs and the importance of reading understanding his cues.
- Keeps both themselves and the support worker motivated, involved and focused on him and the work at hand on the evening.
- Can create a happy, calm and stimulating home environment without compromising safety or structure or lose routines, which is very important, routines are how he copes in his world.
- Leads from the front, supports their team and knows how to bring out the best in people.

But there's an operational side to this role too!





You'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining the SIL home's systems, routines and standards, including:

- Setting up and managing the day-to-day operations of the SIL home.
- Training, mentoring and developing support workers.
- Understanding NDIS SIL standards, compliance, documentation and duty of care.
- Implementing behavior support strategies and individual support plans.
- Managing a complex 2:1 support environment, including epilepsy and emergency procedures.
- Ensuring staff understand their responsibilities and deliver consistent, high-quality support.

You don't have to be the loudest person in the room, but you do need to bring personality, enthusiasm and genuine interest in the person you support.
