Cook for Busy Cafe

Fulltime: 38 Hours/week

Salary: negotiable depending on experience

Working Days: 6.30 am to 2.00 pm (Monday to Saturday)

Academic and Work Experience Requirements:

a) Should have completed Diploma in Hospitality/Commercial Cookery

b) Should have at least two years of previous work experience as a cook preferably in up-to-date Australian cuisine and a good working knowledge of cooking a breakfast menu with great plating skills

At Bullrun Café, we are passionate about delivering exceptional food, great coffee, and outstanding customer experiences. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Cook to join our busy CBD café team.

This is a daytime role only, allowing you to enjoy a healthy work-life balance while being part of a supportive and fast-paced hospitality environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous hospitality and kitchen experience
- Experience preparing and cooking breakfast menu items
- Strong knife skills and food preparation knowledge
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A willingness to follow instructions while also taking initiative




- Experience preparing a variety of international cuisines
- Availability Monday to Saturday, 6:30am to 2:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will:

- Prepare and present high-quality dishes consistently
- Follow standardised recipes and kitchen procedures
- Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory control
- Uphold food quality and presentation standards
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative kitchen team
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP requirements
- Maintain a clean, secure, and organised work environment
- Demonstrate initiative, creativity and contribute ideas to support business growth
