Telehealth GP – Weight Management & Metabolic Health

Virtuwell is an Australian telehealth healthcare company focused on making high-quality, convenient medical care more accessible to patients across Australia.

We are looking for experienced Australian-registered GPs to join our growing telehealth medical team, with a particular interest in weight management, metabolic health and evidence-based treatment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who enjoys telehealth, values patient-centred care and wants the flexibility to work remotely.

The role

As a Virtuwell Telehealth GP, you will conduct 15-minute video consultations with appropriately screened patients and provide independent clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up where clinically appropriate.

Patients may present for assessment and management of:

* Weight management and obesity

* Metabolic health

* Lifestyle-related conditions

* Preventative health

* Other clinically appropriate conditions within the scope of the service

You will retain full clinical independence and responsibility for your clinical decision-making and prescribing.

About you

We are looking for GPs who:

* Hold AHPRA registration and are eligible to practise medicine in Australia

* Have appropriate Australian medical qualifications





* Have strong communication and consultation skills

* Are comfortable providing high-quality care via telehealth

* Take a patient-centred, evidence-based approach to treatment

* Have an interest or experience in weight management, obesity medicine, metabolic health or related areas

* Are confident working independently while following appropriate clinical governance processes

* Maintain high standards of documentation, privacy and patient safety

Experience in weight management, obesity medicine, endocrinology, metabolic health, men’s or women’s health is desirable but not essential.
