EXPERIENCED BARISTA / FOH SPECIALIST

Alkalizer Eatery - Campbelltown

Alkalizer Eatery is in a strong growth and expansion phase, and we are adding an experienced Barista / FOH Specialist to support increasing cafe and catering demand.

This is not an entry-level role. We will train you in our menu, recipes, presentation standards and in-house systems, but you must already bring strong commercial coffee fundamentals and confident front-of-house capability.

NON-NEGOTIABLES

- Proven commercial barista experience in a busy cafe, with confident FOH/customer service skills
- Robust extraction and grind theory - dose, yield, time, grind adjustment, dial-in and correcting under/over extraction - plus knowledge of espresso and other manual/filter or cold extraction methods
- Expert milk texturing across dairy and alternative milks, with clean, consistent service-standard latte art
- Ability to control the espresso machine during a rush, alone if required, while maintaining speed, quality and composure
- Strong drink sequencing - knowing what to start first and how to move multiple hot and cold orders efficiently
- Comfort with POS, order accuracy, customer communication, workstation hygiene, restocking and service standards
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and appropriate Australian working rights

THE ROLE

You will work across the coffee bar and FOH: producing consistently strong coffee, managing workflow through peak periods, taking orders,



supporting customers and the floor team, and keeping the station clean, stocked and service-ready.

Creativity matters too. We value someone who can contribute ideas for cold coffee and non-coffee drinks, seasonal specials, presentation and beverage improvement - not just reproduce the same drinks mechanically.

Coffee craft without theatre. We want someone technically solid, fast, calm and customer-focused - someone who understands why a coffee tastes wrong, knows how to fix it and can still deliver warm, efficient service while the queue is building.
