- Extensive broadacre cropping & fodder operation running cutting-edge machinery.
- Hourly rate of $45, freshly renovated 4-bedroom home included.
- February 2027 start.

The Employer:
Clarke Farms is a well-established, multi-generational family broadacre business based in Western Australia's productive Great Southern region. Spanning 8,000 hectares, the enterprise is managed with a progressive mindset and a strong commitment to efficiency, modern agronomy, and high-spec gear. The team thrives on explicit daily communication, mutual respect, and a supportive working dynamic where questions are always welcomed, and team members are set up for success.

Working closely alongside the family team, you will be deeply involved in all facets of broadacre cropping and fodder production across barley, canola, oats, and hay. Key responsibilities encompass seasonal field duties across seeding, boom spraying, spreading, harvesting, mowing, raking, and high-density baling. Outside of peak field campaigns, you will undertake workshop repairs, routine vehicle and plant servicing, minor building upkeep, and general day-to-day property maintenance. Operating well-maintained, high-capacity machinery, such as Case AF10 combines, Steiger tractors, Bourgault air seeders, JCB Fastracs, and Volvo prime movers, you will take genuine pride in machine care, thorough pre-start checks, and tidy yard presentation.

The Offer
An attractive above-award rate is on offer, reflecting your experience and mechanical competency. The position includes comfortable, recently renovated on-farm accommodation, featuring a four-bedroom house with a games room and a fully fenced yard, conveniently located on an active school bus route.

Located just 20 km from the service hub of Lake Grace, you will enjoy easy access to comprehensive amenities, including a District High School, hospital, medical centre, pharmacy, supermarkets, cafes, clothing boutiques, and active local sporting clubs. For motorsport enthusiasts, regional tracks and events are within 1.5 hours, while the stunning southern coastline at Albany, Esperance, and Perth is all within a direct 2.5 to 3.5-hour drive.

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a communicative, proactive, and dependable team player who takes ownership of their work and values the care of high-quality machinery. Additionally, possess the following attributes:

- Proven experience operating broadacre cropping machinery (air seeders, headers, tractors, sprayers, and balers).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to carry out servicing, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Open, honest communication habits, asking questions when in doubt and delivering timely updates to the employer.
- Valid MC driver's licence (or willingness to obtain) for grain haulage and field support.
- High attention to detail, tidy workshop habits, and neat, accurate record-keeping.
- Capability to work autonomously when required, as well as seamlessly alongside family and seasonal harvest crews.
