2nd / 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Leo’s Truck & Trailer Repairs – Wetherill Park, NSW

We are currently seeking a motivated and hardworking 2nd or 3rd Year Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join our growing team at Leo’s Truck & Trailer Repairs.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about the heavy vehicle industry, eager to learn and looking to further develop their mechanical skills in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist qualified mechanics with servicing, maintenance and repairs of heavy vehicles and trailers.
- Assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Assist with engine, transmission, brake and suspension repairs.
- Use workshop tools, equipment and diagnostic machinery.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Continue developing practical skills and mechanical knowledge under the guidance of experienced mechanics.

Requirements

- Currently enrolled in a Heavy Commercial Vehicle / Heavy Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship.




- Must be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good work ethic, reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
