MNT Constructions NSW PTY LTD is seeking independent Steel Fixer Subcontractors (individual ABN holders) to join its civil infrastructure operations.

This prospect is strictly for individual sole traders (no labour-hire agencies or packaged crews with third-party managers). We are engaging operators for an initial 3-week paid engagement / trial period, with long-term opportunities available for reliable operators who integrate seamlessly with our site team.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately measuring, placing, spacing, and securing reinforcing steel mesh and rebar.
- Tying steel using manual and automatic tying tools strictly to structural engineering specifications.
- Adhering to strict safety regulations and quality control standards across heavy civil infrastructure environments.

Mandatory Requirements

- Work Rights: Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
- Business Setup: Active Australian Business Number (ABN) registered as an Individual / Sole Trader.
- Certifications: Valid Construction Induction White Card.
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years of proven site experience in structural steel fixing (civil/infrastructure project background preferred).
- Roster Commitment:



Full availability to work a 3 weeks on / 1 week off roster with full-time daily hours.
- Medical Fitness: Ability to pass pre-employment medical checks and ongoing random drug and alcohol screenings.
- Clearance: Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable Skills & Attributes

- Team Player: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and resilience in challenging site conditions.
- Problem Solver: Constructive, solution-focused approach when troubleshooting on-site challenges.
- Licence: Current Australian Driver’s Licence (highly regarded).

We are seeking experienced Steel Fixers with all-rounder skills to join our crews. Candidates who have a strong work ethic, a team-oriented attitude, and enjoy assisting other fixers and operators will be highly regarded.
