About the Role

Z Protection Services is seeking a reliable, experienced and professional Mobile Patrol Security Officer to join our growing Melbourne operations team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting scheduled and random security patrols, responding to alarm activations, inspecting client premises and maintaining a strong security presence across commercial, industrial and residential properties throughout Melbourne.

This is a full-time position suited to someone who is confident working independently, demonstrates sound judgement and takes pride in delivering high-quality security services.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct scheduled and random mobile security patrols across multiple client sites.
- Respond promptly to alarm activations, security incidents and client requests.
- Carry out internal and external property inspections.
- Perform lock-up, unlock and key-holding services.
- Identify and report suspicious activity, security breaches and safety hazards.
- Complete accurate patrol reports, incident reports and electronic checkpoint scans.
- Maintain regular communication with the operations team.
- Follow company procedures, site-specific instructions and safety requirements.
- Operate company patrol vehicles safely and professionally.

Essential Requirements

- Current Victorian Private Security Individual Licence with relevant security activities.
- Current Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Availability to work overnight shifts,



weekends and public holidays.
- Previous experience in security operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple site visits efficiently.
- Good geographical knowledge of Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
- Confidence using GPS navigation, smartphones and electronic reporting systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, reliability and punctuality.

Highly Regarded

- Previous mobile patrol and alarm response experience.
- Experience in commercial and industrial site security.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with electronic patrol management systems.
