About the roleAn excellent Expat position, based in East Asia, (Privately owned) are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to work with a great team on a rapidly growing resource .This is a full-time position on a 5&3 roster from any major city or residential (low Tax)The Technical Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing technical teams, optimising service delivery, and ensuring that all technical operations align with company objectives and industry standards. This role reports directly to the CEO in Australia who also spends a lot of time on site.Transition over next 3 years to open pit with Flotation/Cyanidation for gold & copper, and some underground mining from Yr 8.What you'll be doingOversee and manage technical teams to ensure effective service delivery and operational excellence across all technical divisionsDevelop and implement technical strategies and operational procedures that enhance service quality and efficiencyMonitor technical performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancementSupervise maintenance schedules, equipment management and asset utilisation to maximise operational uptimeCoordinate with clients and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored solutionsEnsure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards,
and company policies across all technical operationsManage budgets for technical services, including resource allocation and cost optimisationLead training and professional development programmes for technical staff to enhance skills and competenciesPrepare reports and communicate technical findings to senior management and clientsImplement new technologies and systems to improve technical service delivery and operational efficiencyWhat we're looking forMinimum Batchelor degree in Geology or Mining EngineeringPrevious Expat experience preferredCommitted employee required, who stays connected even when on rostered break.Minimum 15 years industry experience in operating minesGold or copper mining background preferred, coal not preferred.Strong English language ability.Strong leadership, written and verbal skills.Technical skills – candidate needs to be hands on, not just a manager of people.
