Control planes, AI models and agents, oh my!AI is moving really fast. Models can reason and agents can access enterprise knowledge, use tools and take actions. The challenge isn't whether to use AI, but how to introduce increasingly powerful capabilities safely, economically and at scale.That's where you come in.We're looking for a Head of Enterprise AI to build our Enterprise AI capability from the ground up, creating the platforms, architecture, governance and controls that make the responsible way to use AI also the easiest way.Think of it as creating our well-lit pathway into frontier AI.The opportunity:This isn't an AI evangelist role and it's definitely not about running a collection of engaging pilots.You'll build and lead the capability that enables AI to operate in the real world, owning our Enterprise AI Platform and Control Plane, AI governance, model and agent governance, evaluation and observability, secure knowledge access, platform operations and AI economics.Every major technology decision needs to balance what AI can do, what it should do, what it costs and the risks created along the way. Your job is to turn those trade-offs into architecture, controls and technology that teams can actually use.You'll build a highly specialised Enterprise AI team and work across Architecture, Engineering, Security, Group Technology, Risk, Privacy and the broader business to make AI practical at enterprise scale.What you'll doBuild and evolve our Enterprise AI Platform and Control PlaneShape our AI architecture and technology roadmapEstablish governance for models, agents and AI-enabled solutionsMake build, buy and partner decisions across the AI ecosystemDefine secure patterns for enterprise knowledge and agent accessBuild evaluation and observability into production AIMake AI consumption,

You're prepared to say both "not yet" and "we need to move now". You prefer simple, usable pathways over bureaucracy for bureaucracy's sake.You're ambitious about what AI can unlock, without losing sight of the consequences that come with it.Significant leadership experience across AI, architecture or platform engineeringExperience designing and operating enterprise-scale technology platformsProduction experience with Generative AI, LLMs and agentic architecturesDeep knowledge of AI platforms, control planes and model lifecycleStrong cloud, API, identity and distributed systems architecture expertiseExperience with AI evaluation, observability and production monitoringStrong understanding of AI security, governance and technical controlsExperience making complex build, buy and partner decisionsThe judgement to balance capability, security, cost and speedThe curiosity to know what's genuinely changing at the AI frontier,
