Foreshore Engineering is a leading structural and architectural steel manufacturer based on the Northern Beaches who are currently seeking a skilled Structural Steel Draftsperson with expertise in Tekla to join our team.

Drafting Responsibilities:

1. Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and erection drawings.

2. Produce detailed bills of materials and cutting lists.

3. Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant Australian Standards.

4. Revise drawings as required following client, engineer, or site feedback.

5. Coordinate drawing approvals and document control processes.

6. Provide technical support to workshop and site personnel regarding drawing interpretation.

7. Import point cloud models.

8. Prepare detailed material take-offs for structural steel, miscellaneous steel, and custom fabrication

projects from Tekla – stick beam model.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Degree or diploma in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.

2. Experience:



Proven experience as a Structural Steel Draftsperson, with a focus on Tekla software.

3. Tekla Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures software, including 3D modeling and detailing capabilities.

4. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and best practices for structural steel design and fabrication.

5. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

6. Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality drawings.

7. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve design and drafting challenges effectively.

8. Team Player: A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team-oriented workplace.

9. Time Management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet project deadlines.
