HSE Coordinator

Manitou Center Sydney is expanding! We are seeking a proactive, hands-on HSE Coordinator to drive safety excellence across our growing multi-site operations in NSW and WA. In this role, you will embed global Manitou Group safety standards across our workshops, parts warehouses, yards, and field service teams.

Key Responsibilities

As HSE Coordinator, you will partner directly with branch management, supervisors, and technicians to build a strong safety culture and ensure full regulatory compliance:

- Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, chemical storage checks, and racking reviews (AS 4084).

- Partner with Site Managers and supervisors to implement transparent, effective safety controls.

- Act as the local link to the global Manitou Group Safety Team, deploying global safety programs and standards.

- Maintain HSEMS, SOPs, and SWMS to ensure full compliance across WA (WHS Act 2020) and NSW (WHS Act 2011).

- Lead toolbox talks, site inductions, training matrices, and WHS Committee meetings.

- Investigate incidents and near-misses, track corrective actions, and assist with return-to-work planning.

Skills & Experience

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or tertiary equivalent).





- 2–5 years’ WHS experience in heavy equipment, machinery dealerships, industrial workshops, or field services.

- Strong initiative to take ownership, engaging technicians and teams to champion safety behaviors.

- Sound practical working knowledge of the WHS Act 2020 (WA), WHS Act 2011 (NSW), regulations, and Australian Standards.

- Proficient with MS 365 and experience using cloud-based safety platforms (e.g., SolvSafety, MYOSH, SafetyCulture/iAuditor).

- Based in Rosehill, NSW, with willingness to travel regularly to our Perth site.

- Desirable Extras: ICAM/Lead Incident Investigator certification or Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122).
