About the opportunity

Francom Legal is seeking a commercially astute Corporate & Commercial Lawyer to work closely with the CEO of Francom Group.
This is a broad, high-trust role combining corporate and commercial advisory work with debt recovery litigation and portfolio management. You will provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across contracts, strategic agreements, debt transactions, banking arrangements and recovery matters.
You will work directly with senior decisionmakers and play an key role in managing legal risk while supporting Francom’s commercial objectives and growth.

What you will do

- Work directly with the CEO on key corporate, commercial and strategic matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements including supplier, technology, SaaS, services and outsourcing contracts.
- Advise on debt sale, debt purchase, servicing and portfolio agreements.
- Review banking, finance, intellectual property and other key commercial arrangements.
- Provide practical advice on contractual risk, liability, termination, disputes and commercial negotiations.
- Manage and oversee debt recovery litigation, enforcement, settlements and insolvency-related matters.
- Advise on debt recovery and portfolio management strategies across consumer and commercial debt.
- Manage external lawyers and other specialist legal advisers.
- Provide clear, concise legal advice and recommendations to the CEO and senior stakeholders.

About you

You will bring:





- Admission as an Australian legal practitioner and eligibility to hold an appropriate current practising certificate.
- Strong corporate and commercial legal experience, gained in-house, private practice or both.
- Excellent contract drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills.
- Experience with complex commercial, supplier, technology, banking or finance agreements.
- Experience in debt recovery litigation, commercial disputes, enforcement or insolvency-related matters.
- Strong commercial judgment and the ability to provide practical, solutions-focused advice.
- Confidence working directly with CEOs and senior executives on sensitive and complex matters.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and stakeholder-management skills.
