Equitas Tax & Accounting Services is looking for a Tax Accountant to join our friendly, family-based team in our regional branch located in Denmark, Western Australia.

This role offers genuine flexibility — you can choose to work a 4-day or 5-day week — and you’ll be working with a diverse mix of clients across a range of industries and handling compliance work in a supportive, down-to-earth workplace.

About Us

Equitas Tax & Accounting Services is a small, family-based public accounting practice with offices in Perth and the Great Southern region.

We service clients throughout Perth and the Great Southern, working closely with small to medium-sized businesses, individuals, and primary producers (farms). Our Denmark office supports a broad range of business and individual clients with general accounting and taxation needs.

About the Role

We have experienced steady growth over the past 10 years and need an accountant in our Denmark branch to help with the demand.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies

- Preparing financial statements

- Preparing BAS returns and assisting with general compliance obligations





- Liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients regarding assessments, audits, lodgements, and other tax matters

- Researching and interpreting tax legislation to ensure client compliance

- Communicating tax-related information clearly and professionally to clients

- Working collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality client service

- Continuously developing your technical accounting and tax knowledge

What We’re Looking For:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a tax accounting role within a public practice

- Member of CA, CPA or IPA

- Remuneration discussed at interview depending on experience and seniority

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- A proactive, client-focused approach to your work

- A strong work ethic with a positive, professional attitude
