You’ll run the production floor on day shift, working side by side with our Production Manager. While they focus on planning, strategy and the bigger picture, you make sure the plan actually happens on the floor. This isn’t an assistant role or a stepping stone where you just watch. You’ll own output, quality, safety and people every day, with the trust to make decisions on the spot and the judgement to know when something needs the Production Manager’s input.

What you'll be doing

- Owning the day shift floor. Production, quality, safety and delivery on time are yours from start to finish.

- Partnering with the Production Manager. You’ll work together on priorities, scheduling and resourcing, turning the plan into results on the floor and giving honest feedback on what’s working and what isn’t.

- Leading from the front. You’ll brief the team, assign work, hold the standard and fix problems as they come up instead of letting them pile up.

- Being the first point of contact on the floor. You’ll respond to incidents quickly and with confidence, and keep the Production Manager informed so you’re both aligned.

- Making handovers work. You’ll give the afternoon shift a clear, honest handover so they can start robust.

- Driving improvement. You’ll find root causes,



back your team’s ideas and make Lean thinking part of how the shift runs every day, not just a poster on the wall.

What you'll bring

- 4+ years in a production environment, with real supervisory or team leadership experience

- Experience working closely with management to deliver production plans and targets

- A track record of hitting production targets through people, not just process

- Sound decision making. You know what to handle yourself and what to raise with the Production Manager

- Strong, direct communication, and you’re comfortable giving and taking feedback with both your team and management

- A real commitment to health and safety, including experience responding when things go wrong

Nice to have: a Cert III+ in Engineering or Manufacturing, Lean/Six Sigma exposure, First Aid or safety certifications.
