About the role

Happy Hearts Child Care Centre and Kindergarten is seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our team in Caboolture, QLD. This is a part-time position that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children during their formative years. As an Educator, you will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and develop to their full potential. This position is integral to our mission of providing high-quality care and educational experiences that support each child's developmental journey.

What you'll be doing

- Planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning experiences that promote cognitive, physical, social and emotional development

- Supervising and safeguarding children to ensure their health, safety and wellbeing at all times

- Building positive relationships with children and creating a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and respected

- Observing and documenting children's learning and development progress, and communicating regularly with families about their child's experiences and achievements

- Collaborating with colleagues to maintain clean, organised and safe learning spaces that meet regulatory standards and best practice requirements

- Supporting children's social and emotional development by modelling positive behaviours and helping them develop conflict resolution and communication skills

- Responding sensitively to children's individual needs and adapting teaching strategies to support diverse learners

- Participating in staff meetings,



professional development activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of our service

- Maintaining detailed records and adhering to all centre policies, procedures and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

- A recognised early childhood education qualification, such as a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised qualification

- Current Working with Children Check clearance (or willingness to obtain one)

- Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate to early childhood settings

- Demonstrated experience working in childcare, kindergarten or early childhood education environments

- Strong knowledge of child development and evidence-based early learning frameworks

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development

- Ability to remain calm and professional in rapid-paced environments whilst maintaining patience and empathy

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice

- Understanding of inclusion, diversity and cultural responsiveness in early childhood settings
