Review infrastructure assets, verify data and improve maintenance planning across operational sites

Your new organisation
An exciting short-term contract opportunity is available for an experienced Asset Review Engineer to support a major infrastructure asset review across operational marine and landside environments.

Working closely with the Asset Planning Manager, you will review and verify existing infrastructure assets, reconcile asset information across multiple registers and systems, and assist in determining asset ownership, maintenance responsibilities and ongoing maintenance requirements. The position combines desktop asset data analysis with field-based asset verification.

Your new role

- Reviewing and verifying existing marine and landside infrastructure assets

- Reconciling information between the consolidated asset register, MEX maintenance management system and fixed asset register

- Conducting field verification to confirm asset existence, location, identification and observable condition

- Identifying assets that are missing from registers or registered assets that cannot be located

- Reviewing asset ownership, operational control and maintenance responsibilities

- Reviewing leases, licences, agreements, title plans and as-built drawings to support asset findings

- Assisting with allocation of assets to appropriate asset classes, groups and types

- Reviewing maintenance strategies, including preventive, condition-based, statutory and run-to-failure approaches

- Identifying gaps between existing maintenance routines and asset requirements

- Maintaining accurate Excel-based schedules and ensuring findings are traceable to supporting evidence





What you'll need to succeed

- A qualification in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in asset inspection and asset data

- Demonstrated experience building, reviewing or verifying infrastructure, plant or facilities asset registers

- Knowledge of asset maintenance strategies and planned maintenance

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, title plans and technical asset documentation

- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail

- Experience working with asset or maintenance management systems

- A current Victorian driver's licence

Experience within ports, marine infrastructure or heavy industrial environments, exposure to MEX, and familiarity with ISO 55001, AMAF or infrastructure condition assessment frameworks would be highly regarded.
