Bambini Early Learning on Centre Road, Brighton East, is a 112-place centre looking for an experienced Chef/Cook to join our team part time. You’ll help make mealtimes something children look forward to a time to connect, try recent foods, learn about nutrition and get involved in cooking.

This is a part-time role, Monday- Friday, 7:30am to 2:30pm.

About you

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or a hospitality qualification is preferred but not essential. We’ll also consider relevant experience.

- Food Handlers certificate

- Food Safety Supervisor certificate

- Strong knowledge of, and experience managing, children’s allergies, intolerances and medical dietary needs

- Experience with safe, hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks

- Knowledge of the Food Act 1984 and Food Safety Programs

- Experience cooking for large groups, ideally with menus that are nutritious and suit different ages

- Positive, reliable and organised, and you enjoy working as part of a team





- Willing to learn and keen to become part of the Bambini family

- Current Working with Children Check

- Current HLTAID012 First Aid (education and care setting), including CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management

- National Police Certificate

- National Child Safety Training - Foundations Module
