Retail Lead - Full Time

Black Sheep is looking for an organised, confident and customer-obsessed Retail Lead to run The Woolshed, our retail space in Teneriffe, and look after our customers in store and online.

This is a hands-on role that combines running the store with customer service and stock control, so every customer gets the same standard of care whether they walk in, order online or get in touch.

This is a permanent full-time role, 38 hours per week, based in person at The Woolshed in Teneriffe. Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday, with Tuesday and Sunday off. The salary is $76,000 plus super.

What you will do

- Run The Woolshed day to day: open and close, welcome walk-in customers, help riders find the right kit and fit, and process sales, returns and exchanges through Shopify POS.

- Keep the store clean, stocked and customer-ready, with displays refreshed for each product release.

- Own customer service across email and chat in Gorgias, resolving enquiries, returns, exchanges, delivery and order issues from start to finish.

- Answer chats the same business day and emails within 24 hours, in a consistent Black Sheep tone.

- Make sound decisions on credit notes, exchanges and customer remedies within our policies, and escalate clearly when needed.

- Dispatch Woolshed online orders each working day.

- Keep inventory accurate with weekly stock counts, stock transfers and warehouse follow-up.





- Track customer feedback and recurring issues, and help improve how we support customers.

- Host or support in-store moments such as product launches and release days.

About you

You have run a shop floor and handled customers online, and you take pride in both. You are calm under pressure, care about the details and finish what you start without needing to be chased.

You will bring:

- 2+ years in retail, ideally in cycling, running or premium apparel, with responsibility for a store or section.

- Customer service experience across email and chat.

- Confidence with Shopify or a similar POS and inventory system.

- An eye for visual merchandising and a high standard for presentation.

- Robust organisation and follow-through: you manage competing priorities and flag problems early.

- Clear, friendly written communication.

- Experience with Gorgias, Loop Returns or stocktakes would be highly regarded.

- Being a rider or runner yourself would be a bonus.

- Stock is accurate and orders go out on time.
