NW Mining & Civil are seeking experienced rigid haul truck operators to join our client’s team at a gold mine in north QLD.

The site is an open cut hard rock mine running Hitachi 3500 diesel electric and CAT 789 haul trucks. We need operators who have worked in an open cut mine or quarry setting, with rigid haul truck experience in the 250t class or above.

Along with your experience, you should be reliable, a team player and committed to safety on the job.

Local Townsville, Charters Towers, Home Hill or Ayr applicants are preferred. The mine is a DIDO site from surrounding regions and you will drive your own vehicle to the Ravenswood camp, then take the bus to site each day. You will stay at camp while on shift, travel time is unpaid.

Roster will be rotating days & nights – 8 days on, 6 off, 7 nights on, 7 off, working 12.5hr shifts.





A very attractive flat hourly rate is on offer for this casual employment. A permanent position with our client may be offered after 3 months for those who excel.

Applicants who already have a current medical including MMQ RHS (or a Coal Board medical with the full report released) will be highly regarded.

Please ensure you meet the following mandatory criteria to apply:

- RII for rigid haul truck
- Experience on 785s or above (or electric equivalent)
- Open cut mine or quarry experience
- Clear police check
- Current drivers licence
- Be able to pass a pre employment medical and D&A; screening
- Ability to complete mine site online inductions prior to commencement
