We're partnering with a leading Australian law firm to appoint a Business Development Manager / Senior BD Executive to its Technology & IP practice in Sydney.This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious BD professional who is ready to set up into a Manager role or wants to work closely with high-calibre partners on growth strategy, client development, pursuits and market positioning within one of the most dynamic areas of the legal market.About the RolePartner with senior stakeholders across the Technology & IP practice to deliver strategic BD initiativesDrive client targeting, development and relationship-building activitiesManage and coordinate pitches, tenders, RFPs and major pursuitsIdentify new business opportunities through market, competitor and client insightsSupport practice and client planning, pipeline management and growth initiativesDevelop compelling capability statements, presentations and client-facing materialsWork on thought leadership, campaigns, events and profile-raising initiativesCollaborate across practices to identify cross-selling and broader client opportunitiesBring fresh ideas to the way the team uses CRM, data,



technology and AI to enhance BD effectivenessTake real ownership of projects and work directly with partners and senior business leadersAbout YouAround 2–5 years' BD or marketing experience, gained within a law firm or qualified services environmentExperience supporting or managing pitches, proposals, client initiatives and strategic BD projectsConfident working directly with partners and senior stakeholdersStrong commercial awareness with the ability to spot opportunities and turn ideas into actionExcellent writing and presentation skillsHighly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlinesProactive, curious and genuinely interested in technology, innovation and AIReady to step up into a Junior Manager role, or an established BD professional looking for your next moveThe firm is open to appointing at either Senior Executive or Junior Manager level, so this could be a particularly good opportunity if you're sitting at Senior Executive level and wondering "what's next?" and if that's the case next is hearing more about this career opportunity!
