The business is investing heavily in turning operational data into meaningful business insight, and this role sits at the centre of that effort, converting raw data from across the operation into dashboards and reporting that genuinely influence decision making.
You will also provide technical guidance to a junior developer already in the team, making this a great chance for someone ready to step into a more senior, delivery owning capacity.What you'll be doingBuilding and evolving a suite of Power BI dashboards used day to day across the businessPulling together data from a range of operational systems spread across different regionsWriting DAX logic to turn raw figures into the metrics stakeholders actually care aboutQuerying and shaping data in SQL ahead of it hitting a reportStructuring underlying data models properly,



including managing who can see what through access controlsSitting down with stakeholders across the transformation function to figure out what's actually worth reporting onBringing some order to how reports get built and documented as the team growsActing as a go to for a junior developer already in the team, helping them level upWhat we need to seeA track record of delivering Power BI solutions commercially, ideally at a mid to senior levelConfident, advanced level DAXStrong SQL for pulling and prepping dataProper data modelling chops, comfortable structuring schemas rather than just connecting to what's already thereHands on experience controlling report access at a granular levelComfortable owning a piece of work from raw data through to a finished dashboardHappy to informally guide or upskill a more junior team memberStrong communicator, able to sit with non technical stakeholders and land on what actually matters to reportBonus pointsExperience working with livestock, primary production or other regional/operational dataExposure to Azure data services (Data Factory, Synapse or similar)Experience helping stand up or mature a BI function rather than just working within an established one
