You will oversee the Shire's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficient service delivery across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor Coordinators and Finance Officers across creditors, debtors and related functionsEnsure compliance with the Local Government Act ****, associated regulations and Australian Accounting StandardsOversee monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and period-end close processesSupport budgeting, annual financial statements,



audit processes and grant acquittalsContribute to the design and implementation of a recent chart of accounts and finance system as part of the ERP projectProvide high-quality advice and support to executive and Council as requiredEssential Skills, and Experience.Proven experience in financial management, ideally within local government or a similar regulated environmentStrong people leadership and mentoring skillsExcellent analytical ability and attention to detailClear, professional communication and stakeholder engagement skillsComfortable leading through change and system implementationHigh standards of integrity, confidentiality and professionalismRelocation to the Pilbara is requiredFull Australian work rights are essential.If you are an experienced finance leader seeking a meaningful 12-month opportunity with potential extension, we encourage you to apply.
