Technician Electrical Maintenance – Underground Full TimeWe are seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Underground Maintenance team at Tropicana Gold Mine.
Reporting to the Underground Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide frontline support and ensure all electrical work is carried out in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible manner.This role is based at Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster, with direct flights provided from Perth and Kalgoorlie to site.About the RolePerforming repairs, maintenance and installation activities on infrastructure such as motors, VSDs, transformers, substations, starter panels, distribution boards, RMUs, ventilation fans, dewatering systems, instrumentation, communications, lighting, and other electrical systemsCarrying out scheduled statutory work safely and efficientlyInstalling and maintaining underground reticulation systems to ensure reliable power distributionConducting breakdown and maintenance work on underground drilling equipment to minimise downtimeStudying plans, drawings, specifications,



and work orders to determine work requirements and the sequence of repairs and/or installationsBeing available after hours as part of a rotating call-out roster and responding to equipment breakdowns as requiredAssisting with equipment maintenance shutdowns and the coordination and execution of power isolationsThis role offers an excellent prospect to apply your technical skills in a dynamic mining environment while contributing to the long-term integrity and performance of a world-class gold processing operation.About YouPeople are at the heart of everything we do.

To be considered, you should have:Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence (Essential)Electrical Instrumentation Certificate, PLCs and Automation experience (Desirable)Data cabler's license advantageousMining or heavy industry electrical maintenance experience (Essential)Underground Mining electrical maintenance experience is preferredKnowledge of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations, AS/NZS **** and other relevant Australian Standards.Current High Voltage Switching certificate – however can assist with obtainingComputer literacy: Word, Excel, Microsoft Projects, and SAPSenior First AidExisting and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia (mandatory)
