Group Accountant | Alexandria | $120,000 - $130,000 + SuperA national retail business, operating across Australia, New Zealand and the UK, is looking for a Group Accountant.
You'd own the group's statutory accounts and tax returns from start to finish, and play a key part in its ESG reporting, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.What you'll do as Group AccountantPrepare the statutory accounts for the Australian, New Zealand and UK entities, and the group consolidationPrepare and lodge the Australian and New Zealand tax returns and FBT return, and work with UK tax advisers on the UK returnsSupport the group's ESG and sustainability reporting, including gathering data, preparing disclosures and keeping up with changing requirementsWork with the external auditors and tax consultants through each year-endKeep accounting policies and procedures up to date as the standards changePrepare the cash flow and balance sheet for budgets and forecasts, the debt covenant calculations and shareholder reportingWhat you'll bringCA qualification,



with an audit background from a Big 4 or mid-tier firmThree to five years in financial accounting, with solid statutory accounts preparationExperience with ESG or sustainability reporting is desirable not essentialA working knowledge of consolidation accountingThe ability to prepare Australian tax returns on your ownExperience with SAP or a similar ERP systemConfidence working independently, managing your own deadlines and explaining technical points clearly to people outside financeWhy it's worth a lookAs Group Accountant, you'd be the go-to person for statutory, tax and ESG reporting across three countries, with direct access to the Group Financial Controller.
