Our business involves the supply & installation of diesel and gas generators for a diverse range of markets all supported by our successful service and rental divisions.An exciting new opportunity exists for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join and assist the Projects team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and based at the Revesby, Sydney office, the position will entail project engineering and mechanical design work for generator installations, including plantroom and containerised systems.Key responsibilitiesProject engineering and mechanical design work (CAD experience an advantage)Mechanical design and integration of generator installations, including plantroom and containerised systemsDesign and assessment of generator cooling, ventilation, exhaust, fuel and associated mechanical systemsPreparation of engineering calculations, including airflow, heat rejection, pressure drop, exhaust backpressure and equipment sizingAssisting estimators and Project Managers with the preparation of power generation quotations and technical submissionsCoordinate equipment preparation, including pre-delivery works and testingPreparation and review of project documentation, including drawings, manuals,



technical submissions and engineering responsesReview supplier drawings and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant Australian StandardsPreparation of commissioning plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans and associated QA documentation in accordance with project specificationsProvide technical support to Project Managers, workshop and installation teams, including assistance with engineering issues as requiredAbout youDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years' relevant engineering experienceSound understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including fluid systems, thermodynamics and heat transferAbility to undertake engineering calculations and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy in engineering calculations, drawings and technical documentationExperience in power generation, mechanical services, ventilation, fuel systems or industrial equipment would be highly regardedWe offer ongoing training and professional development coupled with a market competitive salary package based on experience.
